About WebsiteCharts
The internet’s reliability, ranked — and how we rank it.
What WebsiteCharts is
WebsiteCharts is a public reliability index. It ranks and profiles the internet’s most-used services — websites, apps, banks, AI tools, games, cloud providers — by estimated reliability, observed incidents, and community report volume. Down-checkers answer “is it down right now?”; WebsiteCharts answers the longer question: how reliable is it, compared to everything else?
Where the data comes from
Signals come from WebsiteDown’s monitoring infrastructure: HTTP probes that run every five minutes from global locations, community outage reports filed by real users, and official status-page declarations. WebsiteCharts aggregates those signals into estimated scores and grades — it does not run its own probes, and every number is labeled accordingly. The exact thresholds are documented in the methodology.
Relationship to WebsiteDown
WebsiteCharts is the public data layer of a small network of reliability tools. WebsiteDown is the action layer — live checks, monitoring your own URLs, alerts, dashboards. WebsiteCharts has no accounts, no billing, and no private data; when you need to do something about reliability, we point you at WebsiteDown.
